Further, I just finished writing the final chapter of Some Velvet Morning. It is a beast at nearly 17K. Nope, that's not a typo. I still need to tweak it a bit but current count is 16, 806 words. That's novellette size, edging into novella territory (17.5k-40K) and it's one freaking chapter. There will be an epilogue after this chapter and then I'm done with the telling of the story of Makis, Mered and Kushaiah (and their children, Namir, Nusair and Qetsiyah).

Hopefully, I'll be able to finish The Fire Of Godly Devotion soon as I'm nearly done that novel but had to put Velvet ahead in the que since I'm under contract for Velvet. Haven't decided on what, exactly, I'll be doing with Fire (free, self-pub or through a publisher). I'll certainly let you guys know though.

I am going to need betas for Fire and the next thing to get posted to Yaoifix.com as it seems most of my usual suspects have too much life stuff going on (real life stuff always comes before beta work in my world). I may post something about that at a later date if I can't dredge up some people willing to read for me. Stay tuned to this station for more details on that later.

I got the shipping notice last night that Rhas-Khan has been shipped. Yea! Soom (the company that makes him) has a 100 day guarantee of production and today, April 11th, would have been that 100 day point (inclusive of weekends and holidays). I'm pretty stoked about this. I kid you not when I say I'd been trying to shell Rhas-Khan for like... 5 years. This hobby is very much about patience and persistence.

He is coming to me via EMS so the initial shipping should be fairly quick even though he's coming from Korea. It remains to be seen how speedy he'll pass through Customs and whether or not I get nailed for fees. I'm betting on getting hit for fees *sigh* as it seems like I'm on some list so Customs nails me more often than not for said fees. Those fees, should I need to pay, will be in the $70CAN range *winces*. Obviously I'm hoping for no fees *crosses fingers*. This is also a short week with Good Friday being a holiday so unless some weird and wonderful postal miracle happens, I doubt I'll see him until next week (there is no postal delivery service on weekends here in Canada).

Good news is that I may have him painted in time for AN this year. I need to contact the face-up artist to see if she has time for him between now and late May when AN happens. I'd like to bring him as he's an odd size (51cm/20") for a boy doll and pretty much all his clothes are going to need to be custom made (which isn't a problem for me) and shoeing him may be... interesting. I have had his wig and eyes for months and I can certainly sew him something before the con.

Well, with the way things are going and the way the new ToS for LJ is written, I'm not real comfy about having my work posted here. That's unfortunate as this is where I started interacting with a lot of people and met a lot of great people. It's sad that it's come to this but you can't use LJ without agreeing to their ToS so....

I do have a journal over at DreamWidth as ID Locke (http://id-locke.dreamwidth.org/profile) as well as one as iron_dog (http://iron-dog.dreamwidth.org/profile). Most likely the bulk of any posting will be to my ID Locke account but I may also start posting to the iron_dog one as a personal journal. *shrugs* Not too sure though. Obviously the cross-posting thing isn't going to happen any more, but any new fic that I post will happen there. I might get ambitious and get a website but it'll depend on how lazy I am.

Khale's new wig came in today and I'm really pleased with it. It's incredibly soft and I think he looks awesome in it. It also fits him really well as far as staying put on is head (his other wig was always a touch big even with a wig cap). I needed to trim the bangs a tiny bit, but I was expecting that as almost every wig with bangs requires you to trim/style them to the length you need/want them to be. I'd also intended to straighten the wig but I'm kinda liking the bit of the crimp/wave to it. I can always straighten it later should I want to.

Now I'll need to go through all the stuff I have written with Khale and change the description of not only his hair but his eyes as well since I've changed those multiple times in trying to find a pair for him that didn't give him the Black Pits of Doom (tm) for eyes. He's currently wearing Oscar eyes in teal (that were originally going to be Warrick's) and I really like the way they look in his head.

I'm also going to buy that wig for Yalaren. It's from the same place as Khale's new wig and the shipping times were excellent. It shipped out from China on March 21st and actually got to me earlier than the date projected. And yeah, I'm still waiting for Tohan's eyes. I was in contact with the seller 8 days ago and they were going to try and get the post office to find them as they were sent registered mail. However, if I still haven't received anything from them by the 17th of this month, I'm going to have to insist that they re-send another pair to me as it'll have been 3 months at that point since they were shipped. I don't want a refund as the eyes are exactly what I need and I haven't seen anything like them elsewhere. But I definitely want what I paid for.

Stayed home sick for the last three days. The breathing has gotten better and I can now sleep in a normal, horizontal fashion without feeling like I'm drowning. The cough is still hideous and I'm hacking up stuff but it's not gross/worrisome colours. Despite taking the steroid inhaler twice a day for the past three days, I'm still needing to use the rescue inhaler every day *sigh*. This bug has really thrown my asthma for a loop. Ribs ache like a mo-fo from all the coughing. Had a really bad fit last night and thought I pulled something in my back because of the tenderness. Runny nose is not quite like a faucet turned on full blast anymore but I'm still blowing out more snot than should be able to fit in my sinus cavities.

Good news! I don't have pneumonia! Bad news is that my breathing problems and awful coughing are the result of my asthma not playing nice with the bug I've got. I have a scrip for antibiotics and the doc also gave me scrips for a daily steroid inhaler to get my asthma under control and a rescue inhaler (I'd let both scrips lapse). When it came time to pay for the meds... *winces*. Just a tick over $180CAN. I now remember why I let the inhaler scrips lapse as they were the big ticket items with one at $110 and the other at nearly $60. And no, I have no coverage for meds so it's all out of pocket.

Painful payout aside, the rescue inhaler helped a lot in helping me to be able to breath semi-decently again. I took it as soon as I got home and the relief was almost instant. It still feels very tight to try and breathe and laying down is still the best way to start breathing issues again along with long coughing jags. But, it's not as difficult to breathe as it was before I used the inhaler. The pharmacist said it'll probably take about 3 days for everything to kick in and start me back on the road to wellness. *groans* Three more days of challenging breathing is not high on my list of things I'd like to be doing. But, it is what it is and I'll just need to deal. I may need to sleep semi-reclined for the next few days to avoid feeling like I'm drowning every time I try and take a breath. Ribs are hella tender from all the coughing and my nose has decided to start running *grumbles*. I'd be a lot happier about the coughing if I wasn't also dealing with the annoyance of a runny nose.

And I have lost my mind and hopped on the crazy bus. I've placed an order with Dollshe for a body for Wu-Tyr. The price was basically 50% off and apparently the moulds are already made and ready to start casting. Dollshe is saying 2-3 months to cast whatever it is you order but he's also notorious for insanely long wait times (like a year long) but that's also for pre-orders for stuff he's not finished sculping and he's a major tweaker of his sculpts. The body I ordered has long been complete in design (it's actually been discontinued and the moulds that are ready are from the last discontinued sale where people cancelled orders) so it shouldn't take forever to cast.

And I'm still waiting on Rhas-Khan (Soom ID51 Gluino), Sondo (Akhmel Nathan), Khale's new wig (that should get to me sometime next month) and Tohan's eyes (they're lost in the mail somewhere as I've now been waiting 52 business days for them. They were sent out Jan.17th from Taiwan by registered mail). I haven't decided yet if I'll be ordering Yalaren a new wig or waiting until DollNorth in May to see if there's something there that's suitable for him.

The one boss got a case of pneumonia so bad that he's currently in the hospital getting IV antibiotics in an effort to knock it back. On Friday, I had a bit of a tickle in my throat along with the occasional cough. What followed was an entire weekend coughing. Sometimes there was stuff I'd hack up but most of the time it was more like a dry cough. At on point, I was coughing so hard, my stomach muscles hurt like I'd just done 100 sit-ups in 1 minute (note: I'd be lucky to pull off 5 in a minute and I'd be gasping for breath and sweating. Out of shape much?). Me and sleep were not besties over the weekend due to the coughing. But aside from occasionally hacking up a lung and sounding like a Legion Lady and the odd bit of sneezing, I'm fine.

I bought some cough drops this morning and have been popping those when the coughing gets too frequent. Pro tip: toothpaste taste and cough drops together are just as disgusting tasting as you think it is. I do not recommend. I also picked up some cough syrup but need to wait until I get home to take any as I tend to react weirdly to many OTC meds that should be fine for the average person.

Case in point, the tablet/gel caps that most everybody takes before bed when they have a cold so that they can actually breathe and sleep at the same time are a huge no-no for me. Why? I take them, they do exactly what they're supposed to (namely dry up a runny nose, calm a cough and let you sleep) for about an hour. Then I wake up because I can't move my arms. Seriously. It's like they suddenly weigh 500 pounds each. I end up shouting for the Hubby and he massages my arms until the heaviness goes away. I fall back asleep and... yep, wake up in an hour or so unable to move my arms again. This goes on until the meds are out of my system (6-8 hours). I've tried multiple brands of cold meds from name brand to no-name and they all do the same thing to me. Medical professionals are baffled with all of the ones I've spoken to about this saying they've never heard of such a side effect. Go me. Medical freak show, at your service.

The boss in the hospital says I should see my doc about what I've got going on. I'm going to monitor the situation and should it worsen, I'll go. But man, this totally sucks. Although, on the bright side, I'm not a snot factory so there's that.

What follows below is a bunch of doll babble and some changes I'm contemplating making to the way some of my dolls look. Please feel free to skip if talk of " my creepies" (as the Hubby puts it) isn't your thing. However, you should also know that because the dolls I own are physical representations of characters from several different stories, should I change something about their appearance as dolls, that will be reflected in-story as well.

Certain established characters like Mowen or Tyh or Fei-Lau for example are exempt from any changes as they are "complete" and need nothing further nor would they stand to be messed with. Others, however, are more fluid or I simply haven't hit on their exact look *shrugs*. It happens.

So, Khale's current wig is bugging me (which I think I have mentioned before). I'd like to keep to the same general-ish style/colour scheme but I'm also open to change. Not radical, but some change is fine. This, however, has been presenting me with some problems in finding the right look for him *sigh*. I have some options so thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. One non-negotiable point is that he MUST have long hair. Like minimum waist-length but preferably hip or ass-length hair. Main colour can be either white or grey (light) and contrasting colour can be varying shades of blue, preferably on the lighter end of the scale.

Still waiting on doll stuff. I have a pair of eyes that shipped from Korea on January 16th. I STILL haven't gotten them and it's coming close to 2 months. This is stupid. I honestly would've paid more in shipping to get them sooner. I've also got another pair of eyes (different company) coming to me from... China? The last pair took about 4 weeks I think. This pair (for Wu-Tyr) shipped on February 27th so I don't expect to see them until maybe the end of this month.

Still waiting on Sondo (Akhmel Nathan) although the artist said he may be shipping next week. Yea! Also still waiting on Rhas-Khan (Soom Gluino). I expect a 2.5-3 month wait there going by other orders to them and I expected that.

I'd like to send Tohan out for his mods and face-up but I need his eyes. His are the ones that are nearly 2 months into shipping *sigh*. When Rhas-Khan gets here, he'll need to go out for a face-up, too. I still need to re-string Wu-Tyr's arms and there'll be some modding there as the Miro elbow peanut doesn't quite fit into the Soom elbow cup. After those parts are modded to fit, they'll need to be dyed. Wu-Tyr also requires a face-up. Sondo, when he gets here, won't require anything further. And I'm trying to local source some turquoise/light blue hair to mod Khale's default wig. Hopefully someplace in the mall has some. Otherwise, I'll need to buy it online and it'll likely be coming to me from Korea/China and as I've experienced with the eyes I've ordered, that can literally be months in the waiting *sigh*.

I had wanted to go to a class to learn how to use my shiny new camera, but finances don't allow for that right now *sigh*. Even without knowing what the hell I'm doing, the camera takes better pictures than my point and shoot. I need to take new pics of a lot of my guys, too, as most are rather old.

I'd picked up some fabric placemats at the 2nd hand store a while back because the fabric was really cool. And for $2, I basically get enough fabric for 1 large doll outfit. Hard to beat that bang for your buck. I needed to iron the placements as there were some serious creases in them. Go to iron them and it's like part of the fabric melted! I always use a low temp/polyester setting on my iron so it should've been fine. I've never had this happen before.

*sigh*

It was really nice looking and now, I doubt I can use them. There is some sort of backing/stiffener on the fabric that sort of melted (it's not exactly melted, not really, but definitely not usable) and that may be what made it do what it did.

There are two napkins made out of different material that was in the bundle (along with a pair of chop sticks) and they will also require ironing to get the creases out of them. However, I'm now leery of trying to iron them. They have the same sort of backing/stiffener as the placemats so....

I do have some fabric napkins that should be fine to use and I don't see a problem in ironing them. But I'm disappointed that the other ones are basically toasted now. And really annoyed that I spent 45 minutes carefully removing the liner back only to have the iron destroy the pieces.

Raining and fog right now. Forecast high is 13C. Forecast for Friday, just 2 short days away? -4C but will feel like -12C with the wind and scattered flurries. Forecast for Monday, another 2 days later? 8C with scattered showers.

Pick a fucking season and go with it. Nobody likes an indecisive season.

Annnd 1 day after the above post, I get up and it's -8C but feels like -16C with the wind. WTH!? 28 degree difference in temp in 24 hours. Oh yeah, they're also saying we'll be getting some snow. Welcome to spring in Canada.

Khale has not only got new eyes, but new eyelashes. For those not in the know, he is a Leeke Khal Limited Vampire fullset pale that I won several years back at AnimeNorth. He doesn't wear his default outfit as that's not his character's style. I also changed his wig and eyes. His eyes have been the bane of my existence pretty much from the day I got him. Almost any eyes I put in his head gave him the Black Pits of Doom (tm). Or the eyes would photograph very weirdly in his head making him look wall-eyed. He ended up stealing eyes I'd purchased for Warrick (Oscar eyes in teal) and I quite like them in his head. But, he would still sometimes get the Black Pits of Doom (tm) at certain angles. In an effort to lighten things up around his eyes, I bought some white eyelashes for him. I think that has done the trick.



And now that I think I've solved his eye issue, his wig is bugging me *head desk*.

I do really like his wig and want to keep the same sort of colouration, but.... I dunno. Something about it is annoying me. It's most likely the bangs. I'm not a super huge fan of bangs. Not even for myself. I can count on one hand the number of times I've had bangs since I was able to make my own choice about having them or not and have fingers left over. Very few of my dolls have bangs. Khale's are bugging me and with a wig, it's not something easily fixed unless you count getting a new wig without bangs being fixed.

Problem is, I can't find another wig in the same (or very close to the same) coloration and length as his current wig without bangs. I did find 2 wigs on ebay that are really nice, but I don't want to spend $30+ on a wig I won't use. I might end up buying a wig and dying it myself to be what I want. That's what I needed to do for Jolen and it's not that hard of a task although getting the dye colour right can be a challenge and a half. These are the two wigs that I saw on ebay if anybody is curious about what I'm contemplating. And yes, I realize they both have bangs which does not solve my issue with bangs for Khale.

I like this one the best for colouration and length although I'm not keen on the waves in the wig. However, it is heat resistant so I can likely straighten it wit hot/near boiling water, which is not a big deal and fairly easy to do.

I like the shade of blue of this wig and that it's straight but I don't think it's long enough for Khale.

Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions?

While I was on a doll forum the other day, there was a thread about what your doll's name was, what that name meant and why you chose that for that particular doll. I thought it would be interesting to answer and started to do just that when I realized that my note keeping has slacked off somewhat. I usually write down what meaning (if any) there is for a name. Easily half of the names for the dolls I have (that would be 40 of them at this point) didn't have anything listed *head desk*. So I started to look them up and some of them couldn't be found online but I knew I'd gotten them from a baby name book I purchased years ago. Only I couldn't find the damn thing *grrrrrrr*.

At any rate, while I was looking for names, I came across one that gave me a bit of an ahhhhh moment. There are a few... well, okay, more than a few names that I've given characters that get pronounced wrong by other people. I can't really blame them either as it's usually ones I've made up that get said incorrectly and I will play around with letter order just for shits and giggles.

One of those names is Eilian. It was my intention to have his name pronounced E-lyn. However, I've heard el-lee-en more times than I like to the point that I actually catch myself calling him what others are and that bugs the ever loving fuck out of me. While trying to look up what his name means, I came across another name that is very close and that has a meaning I really like. I also like the sound and visual of it. There are two spellings given for it.

Eilam or Eylam. It means boundless time, eternity. This is very appropriate for him as he is husband to Rhas-Khan, God of the Abyss, and bears Rhas-Khan's god-mark, which makes him immortal for all intents and purposes. He is also a very powerful mage in his own right (a Fatebender actually).

So now my dilemma is do I re-name him? Names are super important to me and I hate changing names of characters mid-stream. That bothers me a ton and I almost never do that unless there is a serious problem with a name. I've never done it before when I've already put stuff out there for public consumption. This instance would be the first as I have published work out there with his name spelled Eilian and it would cause some mild confusion to readers, I think. But the mis-speaking of his name is bothering me a lot, especially since I'm actually catching myself doing it, too.

What are your thoughts on this? Change the name and deal with the confusion? Leave it as is and suck it up? Go with Eilam (E-lam) or Eylam (eye-lam)?

I almost never go on FB. It is a tool of the devil and I loathe it with the passion of 10,000 burning suns. However, I've been on, briefly, more of late as a way to keep tabs on the debacle that is/was TQ shutting down. When I went on yesterday, I saw a pic of one of my good friends and the messages/responses written under it were alarming to me. Scrolled down a bit more and I see a pic of her posted by her son that said he was going to miss her for the rest of his life and for her to rest in peace.

What!!!???

Turns out, she passed away on Sunday. From some other comments, it seems she might've been sick and in pain. I had no idea. I'm trying to get info on what happened and if there'll be a service.

We were good friends and had known each other for about 17 years. She lived in the housing development literally next door to my building. I hadn't seen her in person in almost a year (last time was shortly after my mom died) yet I walked past her house every day on my way to work. But we were like that. We'd go months without contact and pick it up one day and it was like no time had passed. She had a huge laugh, a generous heart and I knew she'd always have my back.

For the past two weeks, I kept having a nagging sense that I needed to call her or drop by but I didn't and I now regret not going with that feeling. I should know better because those feelings are always right. But I always ignore them because they're usually connected to something bad happening to the individual they're about. Bad meaning that person usually dies within about 2 weeks of my getting those feelings *heavy sigh*.

I'm gonna miss you, Kim. I hope when you make your next pass around the sun, you get to live in the Bahamas like you always dreamed.

Winter in southern Ontario is nice because it's generally quite mild with not a lot of snow. Usually a few degrees below 0C (that would be freezing point for my US friends), maybe a couple of degrees above 0C and somewhere around... maybe 12" of snow for the whole winter. Except for days like yesterday/today. Oh it's not not freeze to death cold or anything. It's actually 0C (but feels like -6C) right now. The problem is the freezing rain we received yesterday and most of last night. And the dusting of snow on top of that. There's 3-4mm (around 3/8") of ice build-up on everything. I had to walk home in that last night and because it was raining, I had my umbrella out. When I got to my building and went to close my umbrella, it was coated in a thin layer of ice (which was kinda cool, but the walking was treacherous).

Really not looking forward to the walk in to work today. The city I live in is pretty good about salting the roads but the sidewalks? Kinda low down on the totem pole. On residential streets, it's the homeowners responsibility to salt/sand/shovel the sidewalk in front of their house and they have 24 hours to do it after the event (and they almost never do it *sigh*). Considering that my walk to work takes place entirely on residential streets.... Yeah.

A couple of weeks back I actually called in to work because it was so slippery out (another freezing rain incident). I didn't make it more than 300 feet from my building, almost wiping out twice. And that was actually while walking on the road, which wasn't as slippery as the sidewalk! One of my bosses came with a client to pick me up (they were in the area when I called him) and when my boss got out of the truck, he nearly wiped out.

Not a fan of freezing rain. It looks pretty and all when it's coating the trees and the sun is shining making everything glitter but it's hell to have to deal with as far as getting around. It's especially tough when you're not sure if you're about to step on wet pavement (which is visible almost everywhere as we've got no snow to really speak of) or a thin layer of ice just waiting to take you down.

Waiting and waiting and waiting.... *sigh* This is the name of the game with dolls when buying from the company/artist that makes them. Unless they are in-stock at time of purchase, you're going to be waiting a while. Some people have actually waited a year to receive dolls. Nope, not even making that up.

I'm still waiting on Sondo (Akhmel Nathan). I put a downpayment on him in mid-October and the artist said she hoped to send him out in January. Well, today is the last day of January and.... No, I don't think she has run off with my money. But no wait seems as long as when you're waiting on a doll.

Waiting on Rhas-Khan (Soom Gluino ID51), too. To be fair, I only ordered him on January 1st (Soom says January 2nd as it was already the next day in Korea when I ordered *smiles*) and there's typically a 2-3 month wait for dolls from Soom. It used to be longer but they've instituted a policy of a 90-day production period (from time of order to date of shipping) after which they start issuing store credit for delays in sending out the doll/stuff you ordered. My guy might come slightly faster as he's an Xmas kit, which means unassembled, no face-up, no nothing. But that's conjecture on my part about the speed of his shipping. Despite the bare bones of his purchase, they still have to cast the doll and do the finish work on him.

Almost bought another doll 2nd hand but it fell through. Funny enough, it was a Soom doll. Long sold out and incredibly difficult to find 2nd hand. But, I guess it wasn't meant to be this time around *shrugs*. That's the way this stuff goes.

And it's not like I don't have doll projects and the like on the go. Tohan needs an ear mod and face-up (which he needs to be sent out to an artist for) as well as my needing to make his tail. Wu-Tyr needs a face-up and I may need to have his elbows modded to allow the Cass forearms to be attached. He also needs his arms dyed (which I may send away to a modder to do for me). Wu-Tyr needs clothes as does Gunari. I have an outfit to finish for Iwa-Xine. There's a wig to make for Makasi. Oh yeah, I got stuff to do/keep me occupied while I wait for my dolls to come home to me.

Just got home from work and I can't fucking believe it! I was almost home when I got bitten by another fucking dog that lives in my building. Once again, I was doing absolutely nothing but walking on the sidewalk, listening to tunes as I was heading home. I saw the dog (a different one than the one that bit me in October 2015, although, ironically the dog is also named Buddy and his owner's name is almost the same as the owner of the previous Buddy that bit me), I heard it growl at me as I approached despite my having headphones in but didn't pay much mind to it. The little shit lunged at me and bit me on the knee.

This time, I stopped dead, took my headphones out and told the owner (with a raised voice because I was pissed) that her dog just bit me. She comes back with, "He did?" I said, "Yeah, he did. Control your fucking dog better or next time I'll boot him in the head if he tries to bite me again."

I firmly believe that I was justified in what I said. I will also kick that dog straight in the head if it tries anything again. It's bitten me once without any provocation. I have no reason to believe that it won't do so again if it gets the chance. I have a lovely bruise on my knee that's 1" long (I use to be an adventurer until I took a dog bite to the knee *cackles*) and despite my wearing jeans, the skin is scrapped and you can see 4 little puncture marks. There's no blood, but there is redness and swelling at the site of the bite.

I'm debating about whether or not to report it to animal control as the last time I was bitten, nothing came of it as far as punishing the owner for not having control of their dog or requiring the dog the wear a muzzle when out in public. I've taken photos of the bite as proof of what happened and am posting this here for the same reason.

EDIT:
I have spoken to the super in my building this morning (and showed her the bite) and she told me to write a letter about the incident and drop it off as she'll be sending that to the property management even though it happened off property (because it involves a resident's dog biting another resident). I also called By-law/Animal Control this morning as the bite did break the skin and it actually still feels tender to the touch today and there is a little redness still.

This is what the bite looked like the evening it happened. My camera "colour corrected" the blackness of the bruising and the redness around the punctures and I don't know how to fix that in an editing program (I couldn't Photoshop my way out of a wet paper bag with a hole in it *rolls eyes at self*). I got Wu-Tyr's body today! I'd ordered him a body from Miro Doll, which was what I always intended to do, because they had the body I wanted on clearance because of a tiny bubble in the resin on one knee. As part of the sale, Miro said they'd fix the bubble before shipping at no additional charge. The body was cheaper (with shipping included) than the regular body on sale before shipping. Score! The repair is damn near invisible and unless you know what you're looking for and where, you won't see it.


He is wearing his correct wig but I'm still waiting on his proper eyes. He is supposed to have 2 different coloured eyes but they are actually silver and gold. He needs a face-up, too. But he's finally a whole doll!

Hello? Nature? Can you please pick a season and go with it? I realize each has their own attractive qualities an that variety is the spice of life, but come on. 4 days ago it was -12C (-19C with the wind) and it snowed and snowed and snowed. Then on Tuesday, it was 2C and it rained. Then it dropped back down below zero was snowing the day before yesterday (and we got an inch of that on top of all the ice the temp drop produced). Yesterday it started to rain. It's 6C right now and raining at not even 7:30am. Tomorrow, it's supposed to reach a high of -4C with a windchill of -12C and snow. I'm not opposed to having a mild winter. I'm not opposed to having snow for winter (I don't like it, but... Canadian). Just... pick a fricken season. Is it winter or spring? I'll go with whatever and dress appropriately.

On the doll front, I have received Rhas-Khan's wig and it's unexpectedly heavy. I hope it fits him okay and that I don't need to get him a wig cap to ensure that it stays on his head. I won't know that until I have him in my hot little hands. That will likely still be a while (I'm estimating a 2-month wait period from the time I placed the order). No word yet on Sondo, but the artist said she expected to be able to send him out in January. I also went crazy and ordered Wu-Tyr's body from Miro Doll as they had what I needed on clearance because the body has a small air bubble at the knee. I also got the notice that he was sent out yesterday and is supposed to arrive in 3 days (so likely on Monday as we don't have Saturday mail delivery here in Canada).

Pretty stoked for that arrival as I'll finally have Wu-Tyr's part all in-house and I can see what needs to be done to make all the parts go together. I also added some eyes for Wu-Tyr to my order for Rhas-Khan's eyes. While I do have eyes in Wu-Tyr's head right now, I like the eyes I've ordered better. I only ordered the one pair even though I have 2 faceplates for him. I'm not even sure I'll get the sleeping faceplate painted so I didn't bother with extra eyes for it.
